Goodman is a communications strategist, public relations specialist, and motivational speaker with more than a decade of experience helping leaders and organizations shape powerful messages and build meaningful influence. As the founder of Goodman Strategies, she partners with executives, nonprofits, and campaigns to develop strategic communications that elevate visibility, mobilize communities, and achieve measurable goals. Her expertise includes campaign development, community affairs, large-scale event strategy, strategic communications, and speechwriting.

Summar began her career at ABC-2 News in Baltimore and later held communications and leadership roles with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy and the Maryland Department of Labor. She also served in the Mayor’s Office in Baltimore City, gaining valuable experience in public affairs and community engagement before launching her firm.

 

Through her work, she has helped organizations strengthen their voice, rebrand their public image, and connect more powerfully with their audiences. She also led the monthly communications rollout of Maryland’s national jobs and unemployment data for seven years, translating complex economic information into clear messaging that informed the public and shaped statewide conversation.

 

As a motivational speaker and advocate for women’s leadership, Summar uses her platform to encourage others to pursue success with confidence and purpose. Through speaking engagements and her Wellness, Wealth, and Wisdom initiative, she inspires women to prioritize holistic success through mental wellness, financial confidence, and personal empowerment.

 

Her leadership has earned national recognition, including being named a National Trailblazer by Million Women Mentors and Alumni of the Year from the Morgan State University School of Global Journalism. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism and a Master of Science in Communications Management both from Morgan State University. In May 2026, she will receive an Honorary Doctorate in Mass Media.
