Introducing newly discovered Descendant of the Frederick Bailey-Douglass family, Ayla Dennis will perform on stage at the Historic Avalon Theatre celebrating the 207th birthday of Frederick Douglass and Civil Rights Heroes Day. This will be a historic night of live music and spoken word.
Ayla will be joined on stage by local artists Devon Beck and Loreal Lewis to commemorate Talbot’s native son.
After the performance, join Frederick Douglass family members at the Waterfowl Building for a VIP dinner.
All proceeds from the evening support Operation Frederick Douglass on The Hill and the work of The Bailey-Groce Family
Foundation’s effort to establish the Frederick Douglass Society of African American Affairs, story, and Culture, Inc. and the African American Cultural Center.
