Frederick Douglass 206th Birthday Celebration & International Art Competition.
The Art Completion consists of AI and Graphic Design. $500 cash prize for AI and a $300 cash prize for Graphic Design
The winners will be chosen by actor Phil Darius Wallace for the stage play Frederick Douglass Lion of Thunder.
Requirements:
Theme of the contest is the Lion of Thunder
Art must consist of Frederick Douglass, a Lion and Shongo the African God of Thunder.
AI submissions must be at least 30 seconds long and contain sound.
Winner’s Art will accompany Darius Wallace on tour for the stage play Frederick Douglass, Lion of Thunder.
Winners will be announced December 20th 2023 during Kwanzaa, and will be unveiled at the Avalon Theatre on February 17, 2024 during the Frederick Douglass 206th Birthday Celebration. In partnership with Teaching Artists Institute.
